Hahei WIFi
Has been successfully running for 10 weeks now. Offering a fresh way to access
broadband internet in Hahei rather than having to sign up to the big broadband providers. Expansion across town is being planned.Hahei WiFi, a division of CMPS Ltd, is here to provide internet access when you need it here in Hahei, rather than having a contract
running all day every day of the year. A list of Hahei WiFi's reasonable rates and connection fees will be available on request.
Connecting and Purchasing Internet access
If you can see the Hahei WiFi network in your wireless network connections then try
to connect to it. If successful then go onto the internet via a quick to load page for example www.google.co.nz . You should
be redirected to the zenbu login page as you do not have internet access yet. If you can access the Zenbu loging page you can now
purchase your access voucher.
Purchasing your vouchers could not be easier - they are at the Hahei Shop, Luna Cafe or at
the Grange Restaurant (which is open later in the evening). You can also purchase time online with VISA or other payment cards through
the Zenbu login page.
IMPORTANT - Before you buy - IMPORTANT, see if you can connect to Hahei WiFi from where you intend
to use your PC or MAC or WiFi enabled device. Please read the information and notes below fully. If you cannot connect to
Hahei WiFi give me a call and i can advise you the best locations in town to connect or when we are expecting to cover your area.
Notes
In general
laptops have a better antennae and can connect at extended ranges compared to WiFi enabled phones (iPhone for example). WiFi
works best in free space and in line of site of the antennae. Once you go inside a property or are outside in heavy tree or bush cover
the signal will reduce in strength. Hahei WiFi will be trialling external antennae for domestic use in the very near future to test
for improved indoor coverage. At this time the signal is strongest around the Village Green, and areas bordered by the Hahei
Road end of Pa Road, Grierson Road and Grange Road before you head past the D shaped roadway towards Cathedral Cove carpark.
It is intended to increase the operational area over the next weeks and months. Contact us to see if your area is covered or planned
to be extended into.
